Yes. One license can be active on up to 3 browser or device slots. Use the same purchase email and license key on each device so your cloud progress, scores, and study history stay tied to your account.

Avoid using private or incognito windows for normal studying. A private session can look like a different browser and may use another activation slot.

If you still have the old laptop, open the app there, go to Account, click Sign out / switch user, type CONFIRM, then click Free This Browser Slot and Sign Out.

If you only have the new laptop, try activating with your purchase email and license key. If the activation limit message appears, click Email Recovery Code, enter the 6-digit code sent to the purchase email, click Show Devices, then remove the old laptop or browser slot.

Signing out of a device you still have access to (Free This Browser Slot) is unlimited. Removing devices remotely with an Email Recovery Code is limited to 4 per 90-day window. Removing a device slot does not delete your cloud progress; progress stays tied to your license key and purchase email.

The app works fully offline after your first visit. Questions, solutions, the calculator, Guided Calculator Drills, the function guide, and reference handbook are all cached locally. Your study progress syncs automatically the next time you connect to the internet.

The study planner asks for your exam date, your weeknight and weekend study time, how long it has been since the coursework (FE) or how much of the exam’s work you do at your job (PE), whether this is a first attempt or a retake, how familiar you are with the handbook, calculator and any supplied codes, and your goal. It then shows the hours you need next to the hours your calendar allows, and what to change if they do not fit. The hour estimates come from hand-checked study-hour reports from 41 FE and 116 PE passers (2024–2026) plus NCEES pass-rate data; they are a budget, not a guarantee of a pass.

All four question types that appear on the real NCEES exam:

Yes. FE Test Prep includes a built-in TI-36X Pro emulator — the same calculator approved by NCEES for FE and PE exams. You can practice with it during every study session so you're comfortable with it on exam day. The app also includes calculator skill drills to help you master key functions quickly.

Each discipline includes a searchable digital reference containing the formulas, constants, and tables relevant to your exam — similar to the reference material provided during the actual NCEES exam. You can search by keyword or browse by topic to find what you need while practicing.

Thousands of questions across all supported disciplines. Every question includes a detailed step-by-step solution explaining the approach, the formulas used, and references to the NCEES handbook. Questions are written for exam-style practice across the same topic lanes, not as official NCEES questions.

Yes. FE exam simulations follow the official NCEES format: 110 questions in 5 hours and 20 minutes. PE exam simulations use 80 questions in 8 hours. The testing interface is designed to mirror the Pearson VUE environment — including question navigation, flagging, a review screen, and a countdown timer — so the real exam feels familiar.

Our pass guarantee is simple: study thoroughly, prove your readiness, and if you still don't pass, we refund your purchase. Specifically, you need to earn the Exam Ready badge, which requires hitting specific milestones — scores across multiple topics, completed practice exams, and consistent study activity. The badge has its own criteria, separate from your study plan: a plan may schedule two full simulations, while the badge needs three. Then take your exam. If your NCEES score report shows a failing result, send it to us within 30 days for a full refund.

Yes. We publish Kindle ebooks and paperback books for the currently released FE and PE disciplines, with both full practice exams and topic-by-topic practice problem collections. They're a good supplement for offline study or if you prefer working through problems on paper.
